The Plainedge Board of Education consists of seven Plainedge area residents who are elected by Plainedge citiens. They serve on a volunteer basis for three-year terms of office.
Plainedge School Board of Education Business Meetings are held in the Board Room of the West Wing of Plainedge High School. Board Meetings run the second Thursday of each month at 8 p.m. September through June. Public Work Sessions are held the Tuesday before the School Boards Business Meeting. There are some occasions where Public Work Sessions and Business Meetings fall on the same day. Check the calendar or phone.
During both our Public Work Sessions and Business Meetings, student/staff achievements are discussed. Additionally there are presentations on the district’s educational programs and services. Plainedge Board of Education meetings discuss what is going on in the district. Residents may comment or ask questions related to Plainedge schools and programs. Residents are encouraged to attend.
